At Yova, we work exclusively with raw alabaster blocks selected for exceptional translucency and natural veining. What you receive is not a product made to look like stone — it is stone, shaped to carry light.

How It Is Made
No shortcuts. No casting. No resin fill. Each piece begins as a solid block of alabaster and is shaped entirely by hand — a process our craftsmen have refined across generations.
Block Selection
Every block is hand-assessed for density, translucency, and grain structure before a single cut is made.
Rough Carving
Artisans shape the stone using traditional tools — following the natural grain rather than working against it.
Lathe Turning & Wet Polish
The piece is turned on a lathe, then polished through successive grits until the stone reaches its full luminosity.
Backlit Inspection
Every finished piece is illuminated from within and examined before it leaves the workshop — no exceptions.
